Oh Happy Day!

The past few weeks have been crazy yet wonderful. I've been in Dumas, Texas while my fiance, Shannon, is working at a BP gas plant. What have I been doing? School. Everyday. Even weekends. It's nuts.

But there has been some great times. Over labor day weekend, Shannon got a three day weekend. So we left on that Saturday and headed to Taos, New Mexico. I have to say, those mountains were the most beautiful thing from nature I have ever seen in my entire life! Beautiful mountain streams, breathtaking heights...it was just awesome. We even got to go see the Rio Grande Gorge. That thing was huge! While on the bridge, we were over 600 feet above the river. The whole weekend was just amazing, and it gave us a few ideas for places to go on your honeymoon.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you didn't I? I'm engaged! I've been engaged since June 25 to a wonderful man named Shannon Schrank. He treats me like a queen and we are each other's equal in every way. All the way to our stubbornness. We're getting married November 12 in Hamilton surrounded by family and friends, and I'm so excited!

Next weekend is my bridal shower, and I'm excited for that as well. I'm also going dress shopping. Ahhh! That's gonna be my favorite part. It's gonna be so much fun. My mom, my sister, my best friend Kesha, my great aunt Nelda, and my nieces and nephew are coming along. It's gonna be a fun experience.

Went shopping at Maurices today and found the PERFECT outfit for my bridal shower. The store manager, Kristen, was super nice and very helpful in helping me find and decide on the perfect outfit. Then I went to Bealls and got my jewelry. Then I went over to Big R and got me a pair of square-toe Ariat Fatbabys with pink camo on the neck. Yay! I'm a happy cowgirl.

Well, I'm gonna stop my rambling now. I gotta put away laundry, and start getting ready to go out for sushi tonight with Shannon. I know this post is different from my others in that it's  more like a diary entry of a super happy teenage girl, but I can't help it. I am happy.

Nikki out!
